חונכות Our Mentoring Program combines group activities and personal mentoring. It operates throughout the school year for students in the 6th and 7th grades. The goal of the program is to expose girls to female role models and equip them with tools that will enable them to reach their full potential, and in the long term – minimizing gender equality. ​ ​ Every week, a group of eight girls meets their counselors, two university students from our team. At first, the girls participate in a group activity, and afterward, each girl attends a one-on-one personal mentoring session. The program consists of five main sets of activities: introduction, planning ahead and setting goals, self-presentation and public speaking, decision-making and coping with stressful situations, and finally – entrepreneurship, breaking boundaries. ​ The participants receive and practice a wide range of practical tools, while learning about inspirational women in history. The activities are engaging and entertaining; they include fun tasks, games and video clips. ​ סיפורה של בת המצווה של ישראל ​ ​ ב-22.4.2020 בשעות הערב המוקדמות 1,300 נערות חגגו יחד בת מצווה באירוע הווירטואלי שייזכר גם הרבה אחרי שנשכח מהקורונה. אנחנו מזמינות אתכן לקרוא על בת המצווה של שוות! ​ לצפייה באירוע עצמו ​ ​ ​ ​​ ​ איך הכל התחיל? בסוף חודש מרץ, פנו אלינו מספר חניכות מתוכנית החונכות השנתית שלנו ושיתפו שלאור משבר הקורונה בוטלו חגיגות בת המצווה שלהן. לא יכולנו להישאר אדישות, חשבנו מה נוכל לעשות ואז החלטנו שאנחנו רוצות לשמח אותן במסיבה ווירטואלית. כשהן סיפרו לנו שיש בנות נוספות בכיתה שלהן שגם להן בוטלה המסיבה, אמרנו יאללה בואו נרים חגיגה לכולן! ישבנו וחשבנו איך אנחנו מדמיינות בת מצווה של שוות, מה חייב להיות באירוע ואיך אנחנו משמחות את הבנות. אחרי כמה ישיבות (וירטואליות כמובן) יצאנו לאוויר העולם כשבראש שלנו דמיינו שבת המצווה תכלול 30-40 חוגגות. 24 שעות לאחר שפרסמנו על האירוע בפייסבוק וכבר היו לנו ברשימה 100 חוגגות. לא האמנו ועשינו רענן ופתאום 120 וכך זה רק עלה ועלה עד שהגיע ל-1,000 נערות, מספר שלא חלמנו עליו!!! בשלב הזה התכנסו וחשבנו מה אנחנו עושות, ידענו שאנחנו לא יכולות להמשיך עם התוכנית המקורית אחרת נאלץ לאכזב מאות נערות ואז קיבלנו סדרת החלטות - הראשונה הייתה לשנות את התאריך והשנייה הייתה לשנות טיפה את הקונספט. היה לנו מאוד חשוב לתת לכל חוגגת יחס אישי ולכן צמצמנו את החלק הראשון רק עבור החוגגות (ללא מוזמנות נוספות). בכל חדר וירטואלי אחת המתנדבות שלנו העבירה פעילויות עבור מספר חוגגות שנבנתה במיוחד עבורן. בנוסף, רצינו שיהיה חלק שייזכר לדורות ולכן החלטנו שהחלק השני של האירוע עם החברות והחברים ישודר בלייב בפייסבוק, כך כל החוגגות יוכלו להנות ממסיבה מטורפת עם אמנים מפורסמים יחד עם חברים ומשפחה. הבנו שאנחנו לא יכולות לעשות את זה לבד, בכל זאת אנחנו עמותה קטנה, והתחלנו בגיוס נרחב של מתנדבות מכל הארץ והצלחנו להכניס תחת כנפינו כ-200 מתנדבות שיעבירו את הפעילות, ירימו טלפונים לחוגגות, ויעזרו במה שרק צריך. הצלחנו גם כן לגייס משפיענים ומשפיעניות שהשתתפו באירוע בהתנדבות- לאון שיינדרובסקי, שלי צירינג, איזי, עדן חסון, ואפילו נשיא המדינה ועומר אדם ששלחו ברכה. היום הגדול מגיע ואנחנו בהתרגשות שיא! מתלבשות יפה, מסדרות שולחן מתוקים, וב18:00 הטירוף מתחיל! אמנם בתקופת הקורונה, כולנו גילינו שאנחנו יכולים לעשות בצורה טכנולוגית הרבה דברים שלא חשבנו עליהם קודם, אבל זה לא חסך מאיתנו את התקלות הטכניות הרבות. אנו מתנצלות מעומק הלב מכל מי שחוותה איזשהי תקלה טכנית ולא הצליחה לקבל את החוויה המלאה של האירוע. למרות הכל, חגגו יחד איתנו 1,300 נערות שעברו פעילות בחדרים וירטואליים יחד עם 200 מתנדבות, ולאחר מכן עברו לאירוע המרכזי אשר שודר בלייב בפייסבוק והגיע ל20,000 צפיות!!!! כל זאת לא היה יכול לקרות ללא השותפים המדהימים שלנו אשר בזכותם האירוע הזה הפך לגדול יותר מהחלומות הכי פרועים שלנו - קלטורה, אלוויז, סיסקו, דבי תקשורת, teenk, WOW והאדסטראט. עוד תודות מיוחדות מגיעות גם לכל המתנדבות שלנו, לצוות העמותה שעבד ללא הרף, ללאון ושלי המנחים האדירים, לאיזי ועדן חסון על מוזיקה מעולה, לבית הנשיא על הברכה המרגשת, בת שבע מלין ונעה ענתבי על הסיוע הגרפי, וכמובן, לוועד מנהל של העמותה שלנו שתמיד עומדות ועומדים מאחורינו. אם חגגתן איתנו באירוע וגם אם לא, ואתן רוצות להנות מפעילויות נוספות של שוות- הצטרפו לסדנאות שלנו! ​ שוות - לגלות. לשאוף. לממש. The Shavot organization was established in order to enable girls to strengthen their sense of self-worth and to provide them with tools that will enable them to realize their aspirations. The organization runs an annual mentoring program and workshops that help girls develop positive self-esteem for the long term, through early experience in setting goals, in the envelope of Emotional and intellectual support. Apprentices learn to see every failure as an opportunity to learn, discover new strengths, strive for higher goals, and realize them. Shavot Theory of Change In the 1980s, two researchers, Licht and Dweck, showed that teenage girls tend to blame themselves when they encounter failure, while boys generally blame external circumstances. For example, if a boy and girl are tested on the same test and score low, the girl is more likely to say, "I'm not clever enough, I'm just not good at math" and maybe even "I'm stupid". While the boy is more inclined to say, "the exam was hard" or "the teacher does not like me". And what happens after this test? The girl will feel like she is a failure. She would not want to learn more math if she did not have to. While the boy will probably forget this test tomorrow... Licht and Dweck also showed that this self-accusation causes girls to underestimate and avoid tasks in which they may not succeed. This tendency prevents many young women from realizing their full potential in the end and is increasing the gaps between men and women later in life.
